<p data-start="416" data-end="707">As well as being physical in nature, our body is understood <em>(in many traditions)</em> to include subtle energy fields that occupy the same space and extend beyond it—often referred to as the <em data-start="602" data-end="608">aura</em>. These energy bodies are said to vibrate at different frequencies and interweave with one another.</p>
<p data-start="416" data-end="707">This brief introduction will give you a simple grounding in the chakras and may open the door to exploring them more deeply. There are many resources available, including books—one of which is listed at the end of this post.</p>

<p data-start="709" data-end="887">So, what are chakras in simple terms? They are energy centres that influence how energy flows through the body.</p>
<p data-start="709" data-end="887">They are commonly described as seven energy bodies, moving outward from the physical: <strong data-start="796" data-end="886">Physical, Etheric, Astral (Emotional), Mental, Causal (Spiritual), Monadic, and Divine</strong>.</p>
<p data-start="889" data-end="1228">Supporting every activity of the physical body—such as the muscular, skeletal, immune, organ, and nervous systems—this energy system is often described as a kind of blueprint that helps the body maintain and restore balance. Across cultures, this energy has been given many names, including <em data-start="1180" data-end="1187">Prana</em>, <em data-start="1189" data-end="1194">Chi</em>, <em data-start="1196" data-end="1208">Life Force</em>, and <em data-start="1214" data-end="1227">Vital Force</em>.</p>
<p data-start="1230" data-end="1476">This energy is believed to flow through channels called <strong data-start="1286" data-end="1295">nadis</strong>, which connect to seven main energy centres known as <strong data-start="1349" data-end="1360">chakras</strong>. These are commonly referred to as the <strong data-start="1400" data-end="1475">Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown chakras</strong>.</p>
<h2 data-start="1478" data-end="1692"><span style="color: #993366;">What Are Chakras and How Do They Work?</span></h2>
<p data-start="1478" data-end="1692">These chakras are linked along the spine by three major energy pathways: <strong data-start="1551" data-end="1581">ida, pingala, and sushumna</strong>. <p data-start="1694" data-end="1900">Chakras are not limited to the physical body—they exist in all energy bodies. They act as focal points for receiving, processing, and distributing subtle energy within and around us.</p>
<p data-start="1902" data-end="2113">The word <em data-start="1911" data-end="1919">chakra</em> comes from Sanskrit and means <em data-start="1950" data-end="1960">“wheel.”</em> These centres are often described as being in constant motion, helping to regulate the flow of energy to the areas of the body they are associated with.</p>
<p data-start="2115" data-end="2303">When a chakra is not functioning optimally, the flow of energy may become disrupted. This may be reflected in physical, emotional, or mental symptoms in the areas connected to that chakra.</p>
<p data-start="2305" data-end="2551">Our overall well-being is influenced by how harmoniously energy flows through this system. Factors such as nutrition, movement, sunlight, rest, and environment all play a role, and very importantly, our thoughts, attitudes, and emotional patterns.</p>

<p data-start="2729" data-end="2858">The chakra system can also serve as a useful framework for self-reflection. When experiencing symptoms, it may be helpful to ask:</p>

</blockquote>
<p data-start="2924" data-end="3074">This isn’t about blame or guilt, but about developing awareness and taking responsibility for our current state—physically, mentally, and emotionally.</p>
<p data-start="3076" data-end="3300">There are times when medical treatment is necessary, and it’s important to recognise and respect that. At the same time, listening to your body and maintaining a balanced lifestyle may support recovery and overall well-being.</p>
<p data-start="3302" data-end="3538">Some symptoms may arise from genetic, environmental, or traumatic factors. In these cases, self-awareness and supportive practices can still play a valuable role in helping you achieve the best possible health within your circumstances.</p>
<h2 data-start="3540" data-end="3638"><span style="color: #800080;">How to Support Healthy Chakra Energy Flow</span></h2>

<p data-start="3640" data-end="3818">Massage, osteopathy, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, reflexology, yoga, counselling, meditation, mindfulness, exercise, music, time in nature, aromatherapy, and positive affirmations.</p>
<p data-start="3820" data-end="3948">These approaches often aim not only to relieve symptoms but also to encourage deeper self-awareness and lasting positive change.</p>

<p>Have you ever wondered what your body is trying to tell you?</p>
<p>Most people only begin to pay attention to their body when something feels wrong — when there is discomfort, fatigue, or illness. Yet long before symptoms become strong enough to demand attention, the body is already communicating. This all happens naturally, without any conscious effort on our part. <h3><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>The Body as a Messenger</strong></span></h3>
<p>In my experience, the body is not working against us — it is working for us.<br />
It is our best friend, especially if we listen to the whispers before they become screams.</p>
<p>Symptoms are often seen as something to suppress or get rid of as quickly as possible. While relief is important, and in many cases necessary, it is also worth considering that the symptom itself may be carrying a message.</p>
<p>The body reflects what has built up over time — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Tension, stress, unresolved emotions, and ongoing patterns of thinking can all influence how the body responds.</p>
<p>When we begin to see symptoms in this way, they can be understood as signals rather than problems.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Why Do Signals Get Stronger?</strong></span></h3>
<p>The body tends to communicate in stages — little hints here and there. If it doesn’t get our attention, those hints can become stronger.</p>
<p>At first, the signals may be subtle — a feeling of unease, tiredness, or mild discomfort. These are easy to overlook or dismiss.</p>
<p>If these early signals are not acknowledged, they often become more persistent and sometimes more intense. What began as a quiet message becomes clearer.</p>
<p>It is not that the body is failing — it is simply becoming more direct.</p>

<p>Our thoughts and responses to life play a significant role in how the body behaves.</p>
<p>Patterns such as worry, frustration, or holding onto past experiences can influence the way the body feels and functions. Over time, these patterns may be reflected physically.</p>
<p>This does not mean that everything is “in the mind,” but rather that the body, mind, and emotions are closely connected and constantly interacting.</p>
<p>Understanding this connection allows us to approach our health in a more balanced and aware way.</p>
<p>This is not about blame or guilt — we are all learning as we go.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Learning to Listen</strong></span></h3>
<p>Listening to the body is not complicated, but it does require awareness — and often a slowing down.</p>
<p>Rather than focusing only on what is happening outside of us, or wishing things were different, we can begin by turning our attention inward.</p>
<p>It starts with asking simple questions:</p>
<ol>
<li>What am I feeling right now?</li>
<li>When did this begin?</li>
<li>Is there something in my life that may be contributing to this?</li>
</ol>

<p>Often, just pausing and observing — without immediately reacting — can bring a deeper understanding.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Moving Towards Awareness</strong></span></h3>
<p>When we begin to listen to the body rather than ignore it, something shifts.</p>
<p>We move from reacting to symptoms… to responding with awareness.</p>
<p>This shift allows for greater clarity, better choices, and a deeper connection with ourselves.</p>
<p>Over time, this awareness can lead to a more balanced and integrated way of living.</p>

<p>The body is always communicating.</p>
<p>The more we learn to listen, the less it needs to raise its voice.</p>

<h5><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #800080;">Over many years of seeing clients, I have noticed that for a person to move forward to a healthier,<br />
more balanced version of themselves, a few things need to happen:</span></h5>
<ol>
<li><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong> Let Go of the Past (Decluttering the Mind)</strong></span></li>
</ol>
<p>Every time we relive a past event in our minds, our body relives the experience too, and it impacts our hormones, muscles, organs, and nervous system.</p>
<p>It is more challenging to move forward until we can let go of the past. Our destiny is calling us, but if we hold onto the ‘anchor’ of past stresses, anger, and injustices, we will struggle to move forward. It is like having a sore that is trying to heal, and we keep picking at it while wondering why it will not heal. Learn to leave it alone!</p>
<ul>
<li>We hold the key to the ‘prison door’ of our past.<br />

<li>It is a sign of strength to ask for help — counselling can be an important step in healing.</li>

<p><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><i>2. </i><strong>Loving and Accepting Ourselves</strong></span></p>
<p>We can never feel any better about life than we feel about ourselves!</p>
<p>If we do not feel good about ourselves, the mind will search for reasons outside of us — the past, relationships, work, or family to justify the way we feel. But the truth is: <strong>we are the common denominator in everything. </strong>Accepting ourselves the way we are does not mean we stop growing — it simply means we begin from a place of compassion. <strong>We are all learning on the job!</strong></p>
<ol start="3">
<li><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Setting Healthy Wellbeing Boundaries</strong></span></li>
</ol>
<p>For example, saying “yes” when we really want to say “no.” Someone may phone us with a request, and we automatically say yes — then regret it later. Instead, practice saying, <em>“Can you leave it with me, and I’ll call you later?”</em></p>
<p>This gives time to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Listen to your intuition.</li>
<li>Avoid reacting out of habit.</li>
<li>Protect yourself from manipulation.</li>
</ul>
<p>Some people may unconsciously use <strong>illness</strong> as a boundary — e.g., “I’d love to, but I’m not feeling well.”<br />
A healthier path is to consciously say no when we need to.</p>

</strong>It is wonderful to help people, but we serve them best as <strong>mentors</strong>, not constant rescuers.</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Be a positive example.</li>
<li>Avoid giving too many uninvited opinions.</li>

<p>Unsolicited opinions can feel controlling. Instead, wait until someone asks. It is an honour when they do.<br />
Or ask them: &#8220;Would you like my opinion?&#8221;</p>

<li><strong> Fears About Being “Too” Healthy </strong><em>(Yes, it does happen)</em><strong><br />
</strong>Sometimes  our mind whispers:</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li><em>“If I had wonderful health, people might expect more from me.”</em></li>
<li><em>“I’d expect more of myself if I were very healthy.”</em></li>
</ul>
<p>The truth: You can be as healthy as you like, and still say yes or no to anything you like.</p>

<p>Decluttering <em>(physically, mentally, and emotionally)</em> is a powerful personal growth tool.<br />
The clutter in our lives reflects our mental and emotional state.</p>
<p>Decluttering means letting go of:</p>

As many people know, many illnesses are lifestyle and stress-related.</p>
<p>Many &#8216;life lessons&#8217; can be identified by observing our symptoms and learning to listen to our body&#8217;s whispers before they turn into screams for attention. How and when the symptoms manifest can help determine which Chakra, i.e. energy centre<em>,</em> is ‘wanting’ our attention, which in turn will point to a certain lifestyle, attitude or mindset our body would love us to adopt and is encouraging us to embrace. 	<h4><strong>Integrated Massage</strong> is my specific therapeutic approach to promoting health and well-being that encourages the release of accumulated long-term stress and tension from the mind and body. This is achieved by combining Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage techniques with Acupressure, Reflexology, Polarity Energy Healing, Mindfulness, correct breathing, plus passive stretching, all of which encourage tension release and healing. <p><strong>Remedial Massage:</strong> A variety of specific massage techniques are used, and it is highly effective for focusing on particular problem areas. It is especially beneficial in releasing chronic stress and tension. An assisted passive stretching technique <em>(known as PNF)</em> is also used to increase flexibility &amp; range of movement. Remedial massage can also help reduce limitations in movement brought on by past injuries that may be hindering your optimal physical performance.</p>
<p><strong>Deep Tissue Massage:</strong> ‘Deep’ is a relative word and depends on the client’s needs and it does not need to be painful as we work together in determining the most suitable pressure. This specifically focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue and aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and firm pressure on the contracted areas either by following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons, and fascia. <p><strong>Polarity Energy Healing:</strong> Underlying the muscular and skeletal systems in the body is a pattern of energy that forms a matrix or blueprint that the body uses while maintaining as well as healing itself. This energy has been given various names, such as Prana, Chi or Vital Force, depending on the culture describing it, and it connects through energy channels called nadis and energy centres called chakras. Our true health is determined by the energy flowing through this system, and symptoms arise when it is not flowing optimally. Your energy system will be optimised by using specific energy balancing techniques, including pressure on reflex points, slow rhythmic movements,<br />
rocking techniques &amp; energy healing.</p>

<p><strong>Acupressure/Reflexology:</strong> This involves massaging and stimulating specific reflex points, many of which are located on the hands and feet <em>(which correspond to various organs and systems of the body,)</em> as well as using other specific energy balancing points on the body. This technique stimulates the body’s own healing and balancing processes.</p>
<p><strong>Breathing Techniques:</strong> Your breathing patterns are observed during this treatment, as they can be a reflection of underlying stress, tension and ‘energy congestion’ in certain areas. You will be coached regarding the correct breathing patterns that will ensure you achieve the optimum results from the session.             <strong><br />

Whereas a poor diet, lack of movement, and chronic stress can lead to inflammation, digestive issues, and suppressed immunity, making you more prone to infections and fatigue, as well as taking longer to recover.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Your Chakras Reflect Your State of Health</strong></span></h3>
<p>According to chakra philosophy, the body’s energy flows through seven main energy centres, or <strong>chakras</strong>, each linked to different organs, emotions, and areas of life. When you are in good physical health, these energy centres tend to function more smoothly.</p>

<ul>
<li><strong>Root Chakra (Muladhara)</strong>: This chakra governs your sense of safety, stability, and physical survival. Poor health can create fear and insecurity, while a strong body—grounded by proper rest, nutrition, and exercise—supports a balanced root chakra.</li>
<li><strong>Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)</strong>: Connected to your digestive system and personal power. When you eat well and maintain digestive health, this chakra remains strong, boosting your confidence and vitality.</li>
<li><strong>Heart Chakra (Anahata)</strong>: This centre governs love, connection, and emotional healing. This chakra is associated with heart, lung, and shoulder health.</li>
<li><strong>Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)</strong>: Tied to the respiratory system and communication. Smoking, poor breathing, and stress can constrict this energy centre. <p>In this way, <strong>physical health and chakra health are deeply interwoven</strong>. When the body is nourished and well cared for, energy flows more freely. The reverse is also true—when chakras are not functioning optimally because of stress, emotional suppression, or fatigue, the body will reflect this through physical, mental and /or emotional symptoms.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Stress, Immunity, and Energy Imbalances</strong></span></h3>
<p>One of the biggest threats to both physical and energetic health is <strong>chronic stress,</strong> as ongoing stress floods the body with cortisol, can suppress immune function, raise blood pressure, and impair digestion.</p>
<p>Energetically, when we are not in balance, we are far less able to connect spiritually with our inner guidance, peace, and clarity.</p>
<p>When we prioritise health holistically—by eating well, moving regularly, meditating, journaling, and connecting to nature—we allow the body to restore balance. This supports <strong>all seven chakras</strong>, which improves mental clarity and helps the immune system function with ease.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Healthy People Still Get Sick… But Not as Often</strong></span></h3>

Everyone gets sick from time to time. But healthy people tend to recover faster, have milder symptoms, and are less likely to develop long-term complications. Their bodies are simply better equipped to handle challenges.</p>
<p>Similarly, chakra imbalances will happen, especially during times of emotional upheaval. But someone who regularly practices ‘<strong>energy hygiene’,</strong>  like meditation, being in nature, and yoga, will usually restore harmony much more quickly.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>The Big Picture: Wellness as a Holistic Protection</strong></span></h3>
<p>So yes—the statement is true: <strong><em>The healthier you are, the less sick you get</em>. But</strong> it goes deeper than just immunity. <strong>True health is the integration of physical vitality, emotional clarity, and energetic balance</strong>. When all of these are in harmony, we become more resilient in body, mind, and spirit.</p>
<p>If you want to stay well, start by caring for your foundation. Eat vibrant foods that nourish your cells <em>and</em> chakras. Move your body to stimulate both blood and energy flow (chakra balance). Breathe consciously. Rest deeply. Express your truth. <p>When we talk about health, we often focus on the body, but mental health is essential in order to travel through life with as much grace and ease as possible. Your lifestyle choices do not just impact your physical immune system; they also shape your emotional well-being, focus, and resilience. A nutritious eating plan supports brain chemistry, helping regulate mood and reduce anxiety. Regular movement releases feel-good endorphins, while quality sleep restores both body and mind.</p>
<p>Chronic stress, poor sleep, or lack of physical activity can lead to mental fatigue, irritability, and even depression. On the other hand, balanced routines, like eating well, staying active, and taking time to rest and reflect, help regulate hormones like serotonin and cortisol, which play a direct role in mood stability.</p>
<p>Mindfulness practices such as meditation, journaling, or time in nature help reduce mental clutter, ease anxiety, and boost emotional clarity. Social interaction and having a sense of purpose or spiritual connection can also strengthen mental resilience.</p>
<p>In short, a healthy lifestyle does not just keep your body strong; it creates a more stable, calm, and positive inner life. When your mind is well cared for, your entire system thrives. Physical and mental health are two sides of the same coin, and both are essential for lasting wellness.</p>
<p>Just to be clear. I would not want to be without many of the medicines and medical procedures we now have available. Many people would not be alive if it were not for modern medical practices! We are blessed to have them. Ideally, when we need medicine, we take it and at the same time we ask ourselves, &#8220;What part, <em>(if any) </em>did I play in needing the medicine in the first place?&#8221; I have seen many people either reduce the number of medications they take, or the dosage of their medications simply by adopting a healthier lifestyle and a healthier attitude to life.</p>
<p>Genetics also plays a big part in all our lives. We are all born with hereditary genes that can potentially lead to good health or illness. Modern research shows that it is the environment, especially within our body, <em>(epigenetics</em><em>) </em>that determines if it is the healthy genes or the unhealthy ones that will get the upper hand and are therefore be encouraged to express themselves! We can control our internal environment with our thoughts, emotions, eating patterns, exercise, lifestyle habits, and by reducing the harmful chemicals and environments we expose ourselves to.</p>

<h1>The Chakra System as a Diagnostic and Transformational Tool</h1>
<p>The chakra system outlined investigates the seven main energy centers and is presented as both a ‘diagnostic map’ for health issues and a blueprint for personal transformation.</p>
<p>Each chakra corresponds to specific physical organs, emotional patterns, and psychological traits. Chakra imbalances manifest in both symptoms (illness, fatigue, emotional pain, a compromised immune system) and behaviours (fear, self-doubt, anger, frustration).</p>
<p>Consistent wellbeing and healing involve consciously engaging with the chakra through affirmations, lifestyle changes, meditation, and emotional awareness.</p>

<h3>The Power of Mindset and Thought</h3>
<p>The book emphasises that thoughts have energetic and chemical effects on the body. You are encouraged to become the observer of your thoughts, recognising that not all thoughts are true or helpful!</p>
<p>The concept of the “Good Wolf and Bad Wolf” illustrates how positive vs. negative thinking affects health and wellbeing. Through mindfulness and meditation, individuals can interrupt negative patterns and feed the “Good Wolf,” — which encourages healing and resilience.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; color: #800080;">My Favourite Short Story</span></h3>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong><span style="color: #993366;">A little boy asked the guru to tell him about the mind</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #993366;">and the guru says, “The mind is made up of</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #993366;">2 wolves, a good wolf, and a bad wolf,&#8221;</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #993366;">and the little boy asks him, “Which one wins?”</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="color: #993366;">and the guru says, “The one you feed the most.”</span></strong></p>
<h3>Affirmations as a Healing Tool</h3>
<p>Positive affirmations are incorporated into the book’s healing methodology and each chakra has 7 affirmations associated with it, addressing the specific emotional and physical imbalances of each chakra.</p>
<p>Affirmations work by rewiring the subconscious mind, replacing limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging thoughts with constructive, empowering ones. Regular, conscious repetition is recommended — supported by writing, speaking, and listening to affirmations daily.</p>
<h3>Personal Responsibility and Self-Inquiry</h3>

	<h2><strong>Chakras-Understanding them:</strong></h2>
<p>The Chakra System &#8211; To appreciate the language of the chakras, we must first understand that as well as being physical in nature, our body also has various energetic bodies occupying the same space and emanating out from it <em>(the Aura) </em>for metres! There are 7 energy bodies <em>(see</em> <em>image below),</em> in total, each vibrating at its own frequency.</p>
<p>These energy bodies interweave with one another, starting from the physical body, and going outwards. The 7 ‘bodies’ are Physical, Etheric, Astral <em>(also known as Emotional),</em> Mental, Causal <em>(also known as</em> <em>Spiritual),</em> Monadic and Divine. Underlying and supporting every activity of the physical body <em>(e.g.</em> <em>muscular, skeletal, immune, organ, brain, and nervous system),</em> the energy system forms a matrix or blueprint which the body uses to sustain as well as heal itself.</p>

<p>This energy has been given various names in different cultures, for example, Prana, Chi, Ki, Life Force and Vital Force. This energy connects throughout the body via channels called nadis, which feed into the 7 main energy centres, commonly called the Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown chakras.</p>
<p>Our bodies are a masterpiece design that will inform us of our next level of personal growth. If anyone wants to know their next level of personal growth just look at your symptoms whether they be mental, emotional or physical.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s listen to the bodies whispers before they turn into screams for attention. The body will not lie although on occasions we may wish that it was not so honest! Acknowledging the language of the chakras will help support your health and wellbeing.</p>

<p>Having been a health and wellbeing practitioner for the last 43 years and seen over 30,000 clients, I realise that the most important factor in determining someone’s health is their attitude to themselves, their attitude to life, and their response<em> (or reaction)</em> to life’s challenges.</p>
<p>Another word for attitude is ‘mindset’. Our mindset is fostered in early life by our parents, society and our friends and often that mindset we adopt is not conducive to good health. In fact, our mindset<em> (the way we think and process informatio</em>n) can be an obstacle to good health.</p>
<p>Ideally, we would aim to get to the stage where we realise that, “I am not my mind, I am not even my thoughts. I am the observer of my thoughts.” The aim is not to be deceived by the thoughts that are not true and/or negative as they are obstacles to our good health. Each colour of the rainbow provides distinct health benefits, and collectively these colours form white light and sunlight. Thus, the diverse benefits associated with each colour are delivered to us by Nature, primarily from the Sun, foods, and the environment.</p>

<h4>The colour red is associated with energy, passion, and life. Psychologically, it may stir the senses, quicken the heartbeat, increase motivation, and evoke feelings of excitement and intensity. Scientifically, red light has also been proven to stimulate the production of adrenaline, enhance energy levels and alertness and therefore improve physical alertness. In medical treatments, red light therapy promotes wound healing and reduces inflammation.</h4>
<p>Foods coloured red include tomatoes, strawberries, and cherries, all of which contain lycopene and anthocyanins. These are antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and support the cardiovascular system. Beets, a reddish vegetable, are also a source of nitrates. Nitrates can enhance blood flow and lower blood pressure.</p>
<p>In architecture and business decor, red is used in restaurants and retail to stimulate appetite and encourage impulsive buying, creating urgency and excitement.</p>

<h4>Orange is a warm and inviting colour that is associated with creativity and emotional balance. Orange is the colour of warmth, enthusiasm, and creativity. It has been shown to lift mood and increase happiness.</h4>
<p>Psychologists find that orange can enhance social interaction and lift moods. In light therapy, orange is used to combat feelings of fatigue and depression. Orange light therapy is used in the medical field as a treatment for SAD (seasonally acquired depression) simply by just mimicking natural sunlight.</p>
<p>On a physiological level, orange foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and oranges contain high amounts of beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A. Vitamin A will help maintain good vision, improve immune function, and maintain healthy skin. The peels of citrus fruits contain considerable amounts of vitamin C, which enhances the immune response by protecting the body against infections.</p>
<p>Business&#8217;s use orange in areas where creativity or collaboration is to be developed, to stimulate innovation and create a friendly energetic atmosphere.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong><span style="color: #ffff00;">Yellow</span>: Optimism and Digestion (Solar-Plexus Chakra)</strong></span></h3>
<h4>Yellow is the colour of sunshine and is normally related to joy, optimism, and clarity of thought. Yellow light may activate one&#8217;s brain and enhance one&#8217;s concentration and cognitive activities. Psychologically, yellow heightens confidence and inspires a positive attitude.</h4>
<p>Yellow light and surroundings can stimulate the brain and enhance focus, reducing anxiety. In chromotherapy, yellow aids digestion and boosts confidence.</p>
<p>Yellow foods include bananas, pineapples, and corn-all powerhouses of nutrition. Bananas contain potassium, a mineral that keeps muscles and the heart healthy. Pineapples contain the enzyme bromelain, which can aid digestion and reduce inflammation. Corn is a source of lutein, a carotenoid that enables good eyesight.</p>
<p>In design, yellow is used in cafes and co-working spaces to promote cheerfulness and intellectual engagement; it often results in individuals feeling energized and positive.</p>

<h4>As the colour of nature, it promotes harmony and relaxation. Green light therapy helps reduce stress and has been shown to alleviate migraine and chronic pain in some people. It has a soothing effect on the mind. Green is the middle of the visible colour spectrum and as such it can enhance our energy if it is too low or calm our energy if it is too high. Being in Nature is a great ‘balancer.’</h4>
<p>Green vegetables are packed with chlorophyll, essential for detoxification and healing. They are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and provide folate and magnesium, crucial for bone health, reducing inflammation, and cellular repair. Avocados, high in healthy fats, also nourish the brain.</p>
<p>Green is often used in architecture in spas, wellness centers, and offices to create a peaceful atmosphere and bring a person closer to feeling ‘in nature’ for relaxation and rejuvenation.</p>

<p>Violet foods such as eggplants, grapes, and purple sweet potatoes provide various nutrients. They contain anthocyanins, which may help reduce inflammation, lower the risk of chronic diseases, and slow aging. Purple cabbage is high in vitamin C and fibre, which support immune function and digestive health. These foods also contribute to cardiovascular health and circulation.</p>
